The first thing you need to know about the Alegre Beach Resort is that it is quite far away from Cebu City or anything else for that matter. It takes between two and three hours to reach Alegre from Cebu City by bus. Once you arrive, you are absolutely isolated.

This is a true place for nature lovers. The buildings are beautifully constructed from simple, local materials. The landscaping is simply the best I have ever seen. This is true garden hotel. Some of the buildings, including the main restaurant, are built on cliffs overlooking the while, sandy beaches below. The property includes several beach bungalows for romantic getaway feeling.


I very much like it here


The restaurant provided fantastic views and very delicious food. You really feel that you are communing with nature when you stay at this resort. I think the secluded beauty of this place would make it a favorite place for honeymooners, or people who just want to get away from it all and enjoy nature.

The biggest problem relates to the fact there is very little to do there for entertainment. It is also very expensive, so I think the Alegre Beach Resort is popular just with rich nature lovers
